In real estate, every deal comes with its own challenges, and some can feel like a puzzle you need to piece together. One that stands out for me was a recent transaction with sellers in Texas who needed help selling a property in Escondido. The house had long-term tenants, and there were some issues with the property management that made things even trickier. After getting involved, I had to serve an eviction notice (which was a first for me), but the tenants ended up showing interest in buying the home! With plenty of ups and downs, a few hurdles to jump over, and lots of communication mostly through text, we made it work and closed the deal.

This deal really showed me how important it is to communicate well and understand what everyone involved needs. It’s not just about knowing the ins and outs of the market; you have to understand people’s emotions and motivations, too. When you’re dealing with long-distance clients, tenants, and tricky situations like eviction, finding a solution for everyone is key to getting to a successful closing.

When it comes to tougher deals, especially in a competitive market, you’ve got to have the right strategies. For sellers, using a multiple counteroffer can help get the best deal, and for buyers, sometimes it’s about making sure you’re in direct contact with the listing agent to understand what the seller really wants. A little teamwork and clear communication go a long way in smoothing out the process.

Dealing with difficult situations—like working through personal conflicts in divorce cases—requires patience and the ability to listen and mediate. When emotions are running high, staying calm and focused on finding solutions helps everyone move forward. It’s all about keeping things rational, moving the deal along, and making sure everyone’s interests are taken care of.

At the end of the day, real estate isn’t just about business—it’s about helping people, solving problems, and getting deals done. Whether it’s overcoming distance, handling disagreements, or navigating through a competitive market, I love making it happen for my clients.
